Quick guide from the manual
The Electro-Harmonix Satisfaction Vintage Fuzz is a modern recreation of classic 1960s fuzz sounds. It features a compact nano chassis, true-bypass switching, and simple controls to dial in sounds ranging from crunchy breakup to intense fuzz.
Controls
- ATTACK Knob: Controls the amount of input gain and distortion. Turning clockwise increases the effect from mild drive to saturated fuzz.
- VOL Knob: Sets the overall output level of the pedal.
- FOOTSWITCH and LED: Toggles the effect between engaged and true bypass mode. The LED lights up when the effect is engaged.
Connections
- INPUT Jack: 1/4" audio input. Input impedance is 50kΩ.
- AMP Jack: 1/4" audio output. Output impedance ranges from 100Ω to 25kΩ depending on the volume setting.
- 9V Power Jack: Connect a 9V battery or an optional 9VDC AC Adapter.
Power Requirements
The pedal can be powered by a 9V battery or an external AC adapter. The adapter must be 9VDC, center negative, and capable of delivering at least 25mA. The recommended adapter is the EHX9.6DC-200. The maximum voltage that may be connected is 10VDC. The pedal draws 1.5mA at 9VDC.
Changing the Battery
To replace the battery, remove the four screws on the bottom of the unit and take off the bottom plate. The battery clip is located inside. Be careful not to touch the circuit board to avoid damaging components.
