This guide covers the installation of the Elk Home 1-Light Pendant. Important: Always disconnect power at the main fuse box before starting any electrical work. If you are unfamiliar with electrical codes (NEC), it is recommended to hire a certified electrician. Ensure all parts are present before beginning assembly. At least one 6-inch stem must be used for the installation.
Mounting Bracket Installation

- Carefully pull house wires out of the junction box.
- Position the mounting bracket (A) so the threaded ends of the fixture mounting screws (E) face down.
- Pull house wires through the large hole in the mounting bracket (A).
- Align the bracket with the junction box holes and secure it using the junction box screws (B). Ensure wires are not pinched between the bracket and the ceiling.
Stem Assembly

- Push fixture wires up through the bottom of the 6-inch stem (N) and pull them out the top.
- Screw the bottom of the 6-inch stem (N) onto the top of the fixture body (O).
- Determine the desired hanging height and select the necessary number of stems (M).
- Push wires through the remaining stems (M) and screw them together, keeping the wires taut.
- Push wires through the swivel (S) on the canopy (D) and screw the last stem onto the swivel.
Wiring Connections
Follow these steps to connect the fixture to your home electrical supply:

- Strip 3/4 inch of insulation from the ends of the fixture wires.
- Loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Wrap the house ground wire around the screw and twist it together with the fixture ground wire. Secure with a wire nut (C).
- Connect the house lead wire (black) to the fixture lead wire using a wire nut (C).
- Connect the house neutral wire (white) to the fixture neutral wire using a wire nut (C).
- Wrap electrical tape (not included) around the wire nuts and wires to ensure they are secure.
- Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.
Final Assembly and Bulb Installation

- Raise the fixture to the ceiling and place the canopy (D) over the mounting bracket (A), passing the screws (E) through the holes in the canopy.
- Secure the canopy using the threaded caps (F). Do not overtighten.
- Pass the hole in the top of the shade (K) over the socket and secure it in place using the socket ring (L).
- Screw in a recommended E26 Edison bulb (not included). Verify the maximum wattage allowed by checking the socket label.
