  • Ground Wire: Loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket. Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the screw. Twist the fixture ground wire and house ground wire together, secure with a wire connector, and tighten.
  • Lead and Neutral Wires: Connect the house lead wire (black) to the fixture lead wire using a wire connector. Connect the house neutral wire (white) to the fixture neutral wire using a wire connector.
  • Securing Connections: Ensure all wire connectors are tightened completely. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire connectors and wires to ensure they are securely fastened. Carefully push all wires into the junction box.

Fixture Assembly

  1. Position the mounting bracket so the threaded ends of the fixture mounting screws are facing out.
  2. Align the bracket with the junction box and secure it using the junction box screws.
  3. Place the backplate over the mounting bracket and secure it with the threaded caps. Do not overtighten.

Bulb and Shade Installation

The fixture uses E26 Edison-type bulbs (not included). Verify the correct bulb wattage marked on the socket and do not exceed the maximum wattage.

To install the shades:

  1. Raise the shade up to the fixture and pass the hole in the top of the shade over the bulb.
  2. Fit the top of the shade inside the socket cup.
  3. Thread the thumbscrews into the holes in the edge of the socket cup. Do not fully tighten until all thumbscrews are installed, then tighten them equally to secure the shade.
