The Enerlites 17000-F3 is a single-pole wall switch designed to control the speed of a ceiling fan. Important: This device does not require a neutral wire. Before installation, ensure the ceiling fan is set to its highest speed using the pull chain control. This device is for single-pole use only and should not be used with low-voltage ballasts, drivers, receptacles, or motor-operated appliances other than the fan.

Installation

Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electric Code and local regulations.

  1. Turn the POWER OFF at the circuit breaker.
  2. Connect the HOT wire to the BLACK wire on the switch.
  3. Connect the FAN wire to the BROWN wire on the switch.
  4. Connect the GROUND wire to the GREEN wire on the switch.
  5. Mount the Fan Speed Control to the box with the "UP" indicator pointing up.
  6. Turn on the Circuit Breaker.
  7. Set the speed on the ceiling fan to high using the pull chain.
