This document provides installation and usage instructions for the Falmec Alba ceiling hood. It is intended for qualified personnel for installation and for the end-user for operation and maintenance. The hood can be installed in various configurations (with motor on the hood, SLIM motor, remote motor, or conveyor kit). Always ensure the hood is disconnected from the power supply before any maintenance or cleaning.

Safety
- Installation must be performed by qualified installers in compliance with local regulations.
- Do not use the hood if the power cable or components are damaged.
- Do not modify the electrical, mechanical, or functional structure of the hood.
- Ensure the electrical system is earthed according to local safety standards.
- Do not connect the hood to combustion exhaust pipes (boilers, fireplaces, etc.).
- Always use personal protective equipment during installation.
Installation
The hood supports multiple motor configurations. Follow the specific steps in the manual corresponding to your chosen setup. Ensure the plasterboard is cut correctly and the supporting frame is inserted. Mandatory safety chains must be fixed to the ceiling. The electrical connection must be accessible after installation.

Operation
Switch on the hood at least one minute before cooking to direct fumes towards the suction surface. Leave the hood running after cooking until all vapors and odors are extracted. The Timer function allows for automatic switch-off after 15 minutes.
Speed selection
- 1st speed: Low energy consumption, clean air.
- 2nd speed: Normal use.
- 3rd speed: Strong odors and vapors.
- 4th speed: Rapid disposal of odors and vapors.
Maintenance
Disconnect the power supply before cleaning. Clean external surfaces at least every 15 days using non-abrasive detergents. Metal anti-grease filters should be washed at least once a month in hot water with dish soap or in a dishwasher at low temperatures. Do not clean electrical or motor parts with liquids or solvents.

Common problems
Temporarily disconnect the power supply (about 5 seconds) via the main switch to restore normal operation.
Generate a new code on the radio control or ensure the hood is away from electromagnetic sources like microwave ovens.
