This document provides essential instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Falmec Lumen 175 Silence NRS Island range hood. It is intended for qualified personnel for installation and for the end-user for daily operation and maintenance.
Device Description
The Lumen 175 Silence NRS is an island-mounted range hood designed for domestic kitchens. It features an electronic control panel for speed and light management and is compatible with an optional remote control.

Installation
Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. The hood can be installed in various configurations (false ceiling, ceiling, or low ceiling). Ensure the wall/ceiling can support the weight of the unit (58 kg). Always use appropriate personal protective equipment during installation.

- Electrical Connection: Must be performed by a qualified electrician in compliance with local standards. Ensure the mains voltage matches the rating plate inside the hood.
- Fumes Discharge: Do not connect to combustion exhaust pipes (boilers, fireplaces, etc.). Ensure compliance with local air discharge regulations.
- Assembly: Follow the specific steps for your installation type (ceiling, false ceiling, or low ceiling). Ensure the check valve is installed for external exhaust versions and removed for internal recirculation versions.
Operation
Turn on the hood at least one minute before cooking to direct fumes toward the suction surface. Leave it running for a few minutes after cooking to ensure complete extraction. Use the Timer function for automatic shut-off after 15 minutes.
- Speed 1: Clean air with low energy consumption.
- Speed 2: Normal use.
- Speed 3: Strong odors and vapors.
- Speed 4: Rapid disposal of odors and vapors (active for a few minutes, then reverts to speed 3).
Maintenance
Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning or maintenance. Do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents.
- External Surfaces: Clean at least every 15 days using a damp cloth and neutral detergent or specialized stainless steel wipes (e.g., Magic Steel).
- Metal Grease Filters: Wash at least once a month in hot water with dish soap or in a dishwasher at low temperatures (max 60°C).
- Carbon/Zeolite Filters (Optional): Follow the specific instructions provided with the filter packaging for maintenance and regeneration.
Troubleshooting
If the control panel is unresponsive, disconnect the power supply for approximately 5 seconds (preferably via the main switch) to reset the system. If the issue persists, contact technical support.
