The Fieldmann FZN 70225-0 is a cordless hedge trimmer designed for trimming hedges, shrubs, and creeping plants in private gardens. Note: The battery and charger are not included with the product. Always wear eye and ear protection during operation. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.

Device Description

The trimmer consists of the following main components:

• Cutting system (blade)
• Hand guard
• Front handle
• Safety release button
• Handle adjustment button
• Rear handle
• On/Off switch

Safety Instructions

• Do not use the trimmer in the rain or wet conditions.
• Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance.
• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (eye and ear protection).
• Ensure the blade is stopped before removing jammed material.
• Always use the protective cover when transporting or storing the device.
• Do not use the trimmer for cutting grass or composting material.

Operation

Charging the Battery:

• Press the release button to remove the battery from the device.
• Insert the battery into the charger.
• Connect the charger to a power outlet.
• Check the battery capacity by pressing the capacity button; 4 LEDs indicate a full charge.

Starting the Trimmer:

• Remove the protective blade cover.
• Press and hold the safety release button, then press the On/Off switch.
• To stop, release the On/Off switch and wait for the blade to come to a complete stop.

Trimming Techniques

• Trim the hedge to the desired height.
• When trimming the sides, work diagonally from bottom to top.
• Round off the top corners of the hedge.
• Trim the back of the hedge down to ground level as needed.

Maintenance and Cleaning

• Always remove the battery before performing maintenance.
• Clean the cutting system with a brush and lubricate it with oil after use.
• Wipe the device body with a slightly damp cloth.
• Store in a dry, well-ventilated place, out of reach of unauthorized persons.

Troubleshooting

If the device does not work, check the following:

• Ensure the battery is inserted correctly.
• Check if the battery is charged.
• If the battery is faulty or the device is damaged, contact an authorized service center.
