This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient use of the Fieldmann FZS 2002-E electric string trimmer. Before use, ensure you are familiar with all safety warnings, including wearing eye protection and keeping bystanders at a safe distance. The trimmer is intended for domestic grass mowing only.
Machine Description
The trimmer consists of the following main components:

- Trigger and Handle
- Adjustable second handle with locking bolt
- Telescopic boom with locking bolt
- Trimmer head with string spool
- Safeguard with line-cutting edge
- Edge guide wheels
- Cable retainer and mains plug
Assembly Instructions
Safeguard Attachment: Remove two screws from the casing, place the safeguard over the motor cover, and secure it with the screws.


Nylon String Spool: Ensure the spring is securely placed under the spool. Pass the string through the spool neck and pull to create tension. Press the spool down while turning until it engages.
Adjustable Handle: Insert the handle into the trimmer, insert the screw and knob, and tighten once the desired angle is achieved.
Edge Guide Wheels: Attach the wheel assembly to the guide on the handle until it clicks. Press the 'PUSH' button to remove.
Operation
Starting the Trimmer: Push and hold the safety button (A), then press the trigger (B). Release the safety button once the motor is running.


Stopping the Trimmer: Release the trigger (B).
Adjustments: The trimmer head angle, handle length, handle angle, and edge guide wheel angle are all adjustable. Use the 'PUSH' buttons or locking sleeves/knobs as indicated in the manual to set the desired positions.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a mild soap and damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use pressurized water.
- String Care: Store spare spools or loose string in a plastic bag with a spoon of water to prevent drying out.
- Blade Sharpening: Regularly sharpen the line-cutting blade on the safeguard with a file.
