The Fieldmann FDU 2003-E is a wet and dry vacuum cleaner. Before first use, ensure all parts are present, the filter is correctly installed, and the container is empty. Always turn the device off and disconnect from the power source before performing any maintenance or assembly.
Machine Description
The vacuum cleaner consists of the following main components (see Fig. 1):

- Switch (I/O)
- Motor Top Cover
- Collecting Container (30L)
- Castors
- Filter
- Plastic Hose and Tubes
- Nozzles (Brush, Floor, Slot)
Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble the vacuum cleaner (see Fig. 2):

- Prepare all accessory parts.
- Attach the tube to the hose handle.
- Insert the flexible hose connector into the suction hole on the upper side of the vacuum cleaner until it clicks into place.
- Install the filter.
- Attach the wheels/castors to the base.
Operation
Turning On/Off: Use the I/O switch on the vacuum cleaner body. Position 'I' turns the machine on.

Suction Adjustment: Adjust suction strength using the dial on the body or the moveable flap on the hose handle.
Vacuuming Water: Attach the floor nozzle with rubber squeegees. Remove the dust bag from the container. If the container fills completely, a safety float will stop suction and motor noise will increase; empty the container immediately. After finishing, let the vacuum run for 30 seconds to clear remaining water from the hose.
Filter Maintenance
Clean the filter at least once a month or when suction force decreases. Never use the vacuum without an installed filter. To clean: disconnect from power, remove the filter, and shake it out. Do not use a dishwasher or hairdryer.
