Quick guide from the manual
The Fieldmann FVC 2001-EK and FVC 2003-EK are submersible pumps designed for private household use to transfer clean water. Important: Do not run the pump without water. Ensure the power supply is 230V/50Hz. The pump is not suitable for salt water, sewage, flammable liquids, or drinking water. Always disconnect the power before performing any maintenance or adjustments.
Description of the device
Refer to the diagram on page 2 for the following components:

- 1: Pump body
- 2: Power cable with plug
- 3: Hose connector (for 1" and 2" hoses)
- 4: Elbow pipe fitting
- 5: Hose connector with elbow assembly
- 6: Float switch
- 7: Float switch height regulator
Installation
The pump can be installed in a stationary position using either a rigid or flexible pipe. Do not hang the pump by the power cable or discharge hose without additional support. The pump should be placed on the bottom of the reservoir or suspended on a holder. Ensure the reservoir bottom is free of dirt and large deposits. The float switch must be positioned to allow the pump to start and stop automatically based on water level.
Operation
Before operation, ensure the pump is on the bottom of the reservoir, the discharge hose is connected, and the power supply is 230V/50Hz. The pump is designed for water temperatures up to 35°C. If the pump is used near a pool or garden pond, the power supply must be equipped with an automatic circuit breaker. Never operate the pump if people or animals are in the water.
Maintenance and storage
The pump is largely maintenance-free but requires regular checks:
- If the pump is moved regularly, rinse it with clean water after each use.
- For stationary installations, check the float switch operation every 3 months.
- Remove any fibrous deposits inside the pump using a water jet.
- Clean dirt from the bottom of the reservoir every 3 months.
- Clean the impeller if excessive debris accumulates.
Troubleshooting
If the pump fails to start, check the power supply and ensure the float switch is not obstructed. If there is no flow, check for a clogged intake filter or a kinked hose. If the pump does not stop, ensure the float switch can move freely and is not obstructed by the reservoir bottom.
