The Frico Ribbed Pipe Radiator is designed for fixed installation in both dry and damp environments, as well as garages. The 127 series models are sand-filled and approved for environments with a risk of fire. Please read all instructions before installation and use.
Installation
The radiator must be mounted horizontally on the wall using four screws via the keyhole slots. Ensure the connection box is positioned on the left side when viewed from the front. The two lower slots are used to secure the radiator. Maintain the following minimum distances for safe operation:
- Above: 300 mm
- Below: 200 mm
- Side: 50 mm
An optional floor mounting support (FBRP) is available.
Electrical Installation
The radiator is intended for permanent installation. The electrical connection must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the latest IEE wiring regulations. The installation must be preceded by an omnipolar switch with a contact separation of at least 3 mm.
Controls and Wiring
The radiator requires an external control device to comply with Ecodesign regulations (EU) 2015/1188. Approved control devices include the TAP16R electronic thermostat, which features weekly programming, open window detection, and adaptive start control. For installations not covered by Ecodesign regulations, other control solutions such as the KRT series may be used. Refer to the wiring diagrams provided in the manual for specific connection configurations based on your model and thermostat type.

Safety and Maintenance
The radiator is equipped with a capillary tube for overheating protection. If the protection triggers, identify and eliminate the cause, then press the reset button located inside the cover. Note that surfaces can become very hot during operation. Do not cover the radiator with fabric or similar materials, as this poses a fire risk. Do not place the unit directly under a fixed wall socket. A 300 mA residual current circuit breaker is recommended for fire protection.
Technical Data
All models operate at 230V~. The 125 series ranges from 200W to 1150W, while the 127 series (sand-filled) ranges from 500W to 800W. All units are rated IP44.
