The Furrion 1000W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter (FIVBDP10A) converts 12V DC power from batteries into 115V AC power. Before installation, ensure the environment is dry, cool, well-ventilated, and free from volatile fumes. A fuse must be installed on the positive DC cable within 18 inches of the battery. The unit is designed for 12V systems only; do not connect to 6V or 24V batteries.

Product Overview
Front Panel: Features the AC power supply cord, circuit breaker, LED indicators, On/Off switch, and the AC wire compartment.

Rear Panel: Contains the battery positive and negative terminals, chassis ground, remote control port, and Furrion communication port.
Installation

Mounting
The inverter has a mounting bracket with four slots. It can be mounted on a wall or floor. If wall-mounting, install horizontally to ensure indicators and switches remain accessible. For moving vehicles, shock-mounting is recommended.
Connecting to a Load
The AC wiring compartment is on the front panel. Remove the cover and metal wire clip to access the pigtail leads. Connect AC output wiring using wire connectors (Black to Black, White to White). Secure wires and replace the cover and clip. A ground lug is located on the rear panel for chassis grounding using 8AWG copper wire.
Connecting to a Power Source
Connect only to 12V batteries. Use high-quality copper cables of adequate gauge. A slow-blow DC-rated fuse must be installed on the positive cable. Ensure terminal screws are tightened to a maximum of 45 inch-lbs.
Operation
Turn the unit on using the ON/OFF switch. If using multiple appliances, turn them on one by one to avoid high starting currents. The inverter features an automatic bypass mode when plugged into a 120V AC source.

LED Indicators
- Yellow LED: Inverter is activated.
- Green LED (Bypass): Bypass AC input is activated.
- Red LED: Indicates error (overload, over temperature, low/over battery voltage, or short circuit).
- Green LED (Normal): Inverter is operating normally.
Care and Maintenance
Clean the unit only with a dry cloth. Do not use chemical agents. The internal fuse is not user-serviceable; contact a technician if a fault occurs.
Troubleshooting
If the inverter fails to operate, check the following:
- No AC output (Red LED lit): Check for low/over battery voltage, output short circuit, overload, or thermal shutdown.
- No AC output (Red & Green LED off): Check DC cable connections or inverter fuses.
- Appliance won't start: Check for excessive start-up load.
- Refrigerator won't start: Verify load rating, cable size, and battery cold cranking amperage.

Common problems
Check for low/over battery voltage, output short circuit, overload, or thermal shutdown. Restart the inverter by turning the switch off and on.
Check DC cable connections or inverter fuses.
The appliance may be drawing excessive wattage. Check the load rating.
Check if the startup power is over 8 times the rating power, verify cable size, and ensure the battery cold cranking amperage is sufficient.
Before use
- Ensure the battery system is 12V nominal.
- Verify the battery has a Cold Cranking Amp rating of more than 500A.
- Ensure the installation location is dry, cool, and well-ventilated.
- Install a UL-listed DC-rated slow-blow fuse on the positive cable within 18 inches of the battery.
- Use high-quality copper wiring of the correct gauge.
- Ensure all connections are tight (max 45 inch-lbs for terminal screws).
