This manual provides essential service and troubleshooting information for the Furrion 12" 2-Burner Gas Cooktop. It covers safety procedures, pressure testing, cleaning, and component replacement. If you smell gas: Do not try to light any appliance, do not touch electrical switches, clear the area of all occupants, turn off the gas supply, and contact your gas supplier or fire department immediately.

Pressure Check

To perform a pressure check on the appliance:

1. Turn off the LP gas supply to the appliance.
2. Remove the screw with the sealing gasket from the pressure test port.
3. Slide the rubber tube from your pressure check measuring device over the gas pressure test port to create a seal.
4. Turn on the LP gas.
5. The pressure gauge should measure between 10" WC and 13.8" WC.
6. Turn off the gas, remove the tube, and replace the screw with the gasket.
7. Tighten the screw to 1.3 Nm to 1.7 Nm.
8. Perform a gas leak check on the port screw after reassembly.

Gas Leak Check

Always perform a leak test before operation:

• Ensure all control knobs are in the OFF position.
• Apply a gas leak detection liquid (such as soapy water) to the connections.
• Bubbles indicate a leak.
• Tighten loose joints or replace faulty parts if a leak is detected.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Follow these guidelines to maintain your cooktop:

• Ensure the appliance is cool before cleaning or disassembling.
• Use care around burners to avoid damaging the igniter electrode.
• Use only non-abrasive plastic scrubbing pads and warm soapy water.
• Do NOT use: Bleach, rust removers, grit/acid-type cleaners, ammonia-based cleaners, wire brushes, or metallic items on burner ports.
• Keep the area clear of combustible materials and flammable vapors.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and solutions:

• Burners do not ignite: Ensure gas supply is open, clean clogged burner ports with a small-gauge wire, check gas level, or hold the control knob in for at least 5 seconds after the flame is lit.
• Flame burns half way around: Dry the burner thoroughly or clean ports.
• Flame is orange: Allow the burner to operate for a few minutes to clear dust. Note that coastal areas may have orange flames due to salt air.
