Limited Warranty for GoodWe BAT Energy Storage System

Important Warranty Information

The GoodWe Limited Warranty applies to the BAT Energy Storage System (models GW61.4-BAT-AC-G10, GW92.1-BAT-AC-G10, GW102.4-BAT-AC-G10, and GW112.6-BAT-AC-G10). The warranty period begins on the earlier of the installation date or 6 months after the production date.

Preconditions for Warranty:

• The system must be installed by a skilled person or 3rd party installer.
• The end user must operate the system according to the User Manual and Installation Guide.
• Proof of original purchase must be provided.
• Installation must be completed within 6 months of the production date.
• Any failure must be reported within one month of appearance.

Warranty Coverage

Limited Product Warranty: Covers the control cabinet, lithium-ion battery, BMS, and control unit. Fire suppression and air-conditioning units have specific warranty terms (1-2 years standard, extendable up to 10 years if connected to GoodWe SEMS+). Other hardware and electronics are covered for 5 years.

Limited Performance Warranty: GoodWe warrants that the system retains 70% of usable energy within 10 years or until the Minimum Throughput Energy is reached, whichever comes first. This performance warranty applies only to the Battery Cells.

How to Make a Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, contact your local distributor or the installer who performed the setup. If service is unavailable or unsatisfactory, you may escalate the request by creating a service ticket at https://goodwetechnology.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb.

Required Information for Claims:

• Claimant contact information (name, company, phone, email, address).
• Defective system details (Model No., serial number, installation date, failure date).
• Installation details (brand, model, number of PV panels).
• Error message from the app (if applicable).
• Description of actions taken before the failure.

Warranty Exceptions

The warranty does not cover defects caused by:

• Normal wear and tear.
• Expired warranty periods.
• Faulty installation by unqualified installers.
• Failure to follow product manuals or maintenance requirements.
• Deliberate damage or willful acts.
• Unauthorized disassembly, repair, or modifications.
• Force majeure (stormy weather, flooding, lightning, etc.).
• Vandalism, theft, or contamination.
• Rust caused by harsh environmental conditions (e.g., sea coasts/saltwater) without prior approval.
• Failure to report the defect within one month.

Storage and Maintenance

If the equipment is not installed immediately, it must be stored in a cool, clean place away from direct sunlight, flammable, or corrosive materials. Maintain a storage State of Charge (SOC) of 30%-50% and cycle the charge-discharge every 12 months. Ensure the storage temperature is between 35°C-45°C (for less than 6 months) or -20°C-35°C (for less than 1 year). Do not install the battery if there is any moisture or condensation.
