Quick Start Guide
The Guangzhou 08C Gamepad supports multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, Android, PC, and iOS. Pairing methods vary by platform. Ensure the controller is charged before use. The controller features an auto-sleep function after 5 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery.
Switch Mode
To connect to a Nintendo Switch:
- Press the Home key to turn on the controller.
- Press and hold the Home key for 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes in a rolling manner.
- Open the Switch controller settings and select "Change Grip/Order".
- Wait for the controller to connect. Once connected, the indicator light will remain solid, and the controller will vibrate.
- For subsequent uses, simply press the Home key to reconnect automatically.
Receiver Mode
To use the receiver mode for Android, Switch Pro, PC, or IPTV:
- In the shutdown state, press and hold the Home key for 3 seconds.
- The blue light will flash, indicating pairing mode.
- Once connected, the blue light will remain solid, and the controller will vibrate.
- The controller automatically identifies the connected device.
- For XInput mode, the white light will flash during pairing and remain solid upon successful connection.
Android and iOS Pairing
Android (D-input):
- Press and hold [A + Home] for 5 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode (blue light flashes).
- Open Bluetooth settings on your Android device, find "Gamepad", and connect.
iOS Mode:
- Press and hold [Y + Home] to enter Bluetooth pairing mode (yellow light flashes).
- Open Bluetooth settings on your iOS device, find "Gamepad", and connect. This mode uses the Xbox protocol.
Windows and USB Connection
Windows (X-input):
- Press and hold [Home + A] for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode.
- Search for "Gamepad" in your Windows Bluetooth settings and connect.
USB Wired Connection:
- The controller automatically identifies Switch, PC, and Android platforms when connected via USB.
- On PC, the default is X-input. To switch between X-input and D-input, press and hold the "+" and "-" keys for 3 seconds. The controller will vibrate upon switching.
Turbo and Vibration Settings
Turbo Function:
- Enable/Disable: Press Turbo + any action button (A/B/X/Y/L1/L2/L3/R1/R2/R3).
- Speed Adjustment: Press and hold the Turbo key while moving the right rocker up or down. Available speeds are 20, 12, and 5 times/second (default is 12).
- Clear Turbo: Press the Turbo key and the specific action button a third time to clear the setting.
Vibration Adjustment:
- Press and hold the Turbo key, then press "+" to increase or "-" to decrease vibration.
- There are four levels: 0%, 40%, 70%, and 100%. The default is 70%.
Charging and Auto-sleep
Charging:
- Handle Off: The blue light flashes slowly while charging and turns off when fully charged.
- Handle On: The current channel indicator flashes while charging and remains solid when fully charged.
Auto-sleep:
- The controller sleeps automatically if the Switch screen turns off or if there is no button operation for 5 minutes.
- To manually shut down, press and hold the Home key for 5 seconds.
Practical help
Common problems
Ensure you are using the correct button combination for your specific platform (e.g., A+Home for Android, Y+Home for iOS) and that the indicator light is flashing before searching on your device.
Verify the Turbo speed setting by holding the Turbo key and adjusting with the right rocker. Ensure you have pressed the Turbo + button combination correctly.
Hold the Turbo key and use the '+' or '-' buttons to cycle through the four intensity levels (0%, 40%, 70%, 100%).
