This manual provides installation and maintenance instructions for the Hansgrohe Axor Carlton faucet series. Key features include the EcoSmart flow limiter for water conservation and the QuickClean function for easy maintenance. If you experience low water flow or issues with an instantaneous water heater, the EcoSmart limiter can be removed.
Safety instructions
- Wear gloves during installation to prevent crushing and cutting injuries.
- The product is intended for bathing, hygienic, and body cleansing purposes only.
- Hot and cold water supplies must be balanced to prevent significant pressure differences.
- Do not use silicone containing acetic acid during installation.
Installation instructions
The fitting must be installed, flushed, and tested according to valid norms.

- Ensure the water supply is turned off.
- Install the faucet according to the provided diagrams (see page 31).
- Flush the pipes thoroughly before final connection.
- Test the fitting for leaks after installation.

- Recommended hot water temperature: 65°C
Hansgrohe mixers can be used with hydraulically and thermally controlled continuous flow heaters if the flow pressure is at least 0.15 MPa.
Maintenance and cleaning
The QuickClean function allows you to remove lime scale from the spray channels by simply rubbing them with your finger or a sponge. For other cleaning, use the provided brochure instructions. Refer to the spare parts diagram on page 36 for maintenance and replacement parts.


Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with an instantaneous water heater or desire a higher water flow, the EcoSmart flow limiter located behind the aerator can be removed.
