  • Prior to installation, inspect the product for transport damages.
  • Pipes and the fixture must be installed, flushed, and tested according to applicable standards.
  • Do not use silicone containing acetic acid.

Safety function and adjustment

The desired maximum temperature (e.g., max. 42°C) can be pre-set using the safety function. After installation, the output temperature of the thermostat must be checked. A correction is necessary if the temperature measured at the output differs from the temperature set on the thermostat.

  • Check valves must be checked regularly according to EN 806-5 (at least once a year).
  • To guarantee the smooth running of the thermostat, it is necessary from time to time to turn the thermostat from total hot to total cold.

Troubleshooting

If you experience issues, refer to the following:

  • Insufficient water: Check supply pressure, clean filters in front of the mixer and on the MTC-thermo cartridge, clean shower filter seal.
  • Crossflow: Clean or exchange backflow preventers.
  • Temperature mismatch: Adjust thermostat, increase hot water temperature to 42°C - 60°C.
  • Temperature regulation not possible: Thermo cartridge is calcified; exchange the cartridge.
  • Safety stop button not operating: Clean spring/button, exchange if necessary.
  • Valve stiff or shower drips: Exchange Select stop valve DN9.

Insufficient water

Check water pressure, clean filter in front of the mixer and on the MTC-thermo cartridge, clean filter seal between shower and hose.

Crossflow (hot water forced into cold pipe or vice versa)
