This manual covers the installation and operation of the Hansgrohe Talis M54 210 kitchen mixer. Key requirements include ensuring equal pressure for hot and cold water supplies and flushing pipes before installation. The product is designed exclusively for drinking water.

Installation

Installation must be performed by qualified professionals. Follow these steps:

• Inspect the product for transport damage before installation.
• Flush the pipes thoroughly before connecting the fixture.
• Observe applicable national plumbing codes.
• Wear gloves during installation to prevent crushing and cutting injuries.
• Refer to page 4 for torque settings (3 Nm and 4 Nm) and connection details.

Swivel Spout Adjustment

The swivel spout can be adjusted to different angles (60°, 110°, 150°) to suit your kitchen layout. Refer to pages 5, 6, and 7 for specific diagrams on how to adjust the rotation limiters.

Hot Water Limiter Adjustment

To adjust the hot water limiter:

1. Remove the handle cover and loosen the screw (SW 2.5 mm).
2. Remove the handle.
3. Use pliers to adjust the limiter ring to the desired temperature setting.
4. Reassemble the handle and tighten the screw.

Note: Using a hot water limiter in combination with a continuous flow water heater is not recommended.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures longevity:

• Check valves: Must be checked regularly according to EN 806-5 (at least once a year).
• Cleaning: Use the cleaning recommendation available at www.hansgrohe.com/cleaning-recommendation. Do not use silicone containing acetic acid.
• Daily use: Hansgrohe recommends not using the first half liter of water drawn in the morning or after a prolonged period of non-use as drinking water.

Troubleshooting

If you experience issues, consult the following:

• Mixer stiff or dripping: The cartridge is likely defective or calcified. Exchange the cartridge.
• Water escaping at swivel spout: The O-ring is likely defective. Exchange the O-ring.
• Water escaping at threaded base: Tighten connection hoses by hand or exchange the O-ring if defective.
• Low hot water temperature: The hot water limiter is incorrectly set. Adjust the limiter.
