This document provides essential installation and operation instructions for the Hansgrohe Talis S2 Variarc kitchen mixer tap. Before installation, ensure that hot and cold water supplies are balanced to prevent pressure differences. Always wear protective gloves during installation to avoid crushing or cutting injuries.
Installation
The fitting must be installed, flushed, and tested according to valid norms. Ensure the pipes are flushed thoroughly before connecting the mixer. Do not use silicone containing acetic acid during installation.

- Operating pressure: Max. 1 MPa (Recommended 0.1 - 0.5 MPa)
- Test pressure: 1.6 MPa
- Hot water temperature: Max. 80°C (Recommended 65°C)
- Flow rate at 0.3 MPa: 11 l/min (handspray), 9 l/min (aerator)
- Compatibility: Can be used with hydraulically and thermally controlled continuous flow heaters if flow pressure is at least 0.15 MPa.
Operation
The mixer is operated via a single lever. To adjust the hot water limiter, refer to the instructions on page 39. No adjustment is necessary when using a continuous flow water heater.

Maintenance
Non-return valves must be checked regularly according to DIN EN 1717 and in accordance with national or regional regulations (at least once a year). If water flow drops, clean the filter located between the hose and the handspray.


Cleaning
The faucet features the QuickClean system. Simply rub the spray channels with your finger or a sponge to remove lime scale deposits.
