Quick guide from the manual
The HiKOKI RB 18DC is a cordless blower designed for cleaning facilities and equipment. This guide provides essential information for safe operation, battery management, and maintenance. Always ensure the tool is switched off and the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or accessory changes.
Device Description
The blower features a handle, a variable speed switch with an air volume changing lever, an ON lock button, a blast port for blowing, and a suction port for dust collection. It is powered by HiKOKI Multi Volt or BSL18 series batteries.
Battery Installation and Charging
To install the battery, slide it into the tool until it clicks. To remove, push the latches and pull. For charging, use the UC18YSL3 charger. Connect the charger to a power source, then insert the battery. The charge indicator lamp will blink blue during charging and turn solid green when complete.
Operation
For blowing, attach the nozzle to the blast port. For dust collection, attach the nozzle to the suction port and the dust bag to the blast port. Ensure the nozzle is clicked into place. Use the air volume changing lever to adjust the speed. The tool includes an ON lock button for continuous operation.
Safety and Maintenance
Always wear eye protection. Do not block the blast or suction ports, as this can cause the motor to overheat. Keep the tool and battery terminals free of dust and swarf. Store the tool in a dry place below 40°C. If the tool stops unexpectedly, it may be due to the protection function triggered by overheating or overload; allow the tool to cool before restarting.
Troubleshooting
If the tool fails to run, check the battery charge. If suction is poor, check if the dust bag is full or the nozzle is obstructed. If the charger indicator blinks purple, check for foreign matter in the battery terminals.
