Quick guide from the manual
This manual covers the operation and safety of the HiKOKI cordless driver/drill and combi drill models DS14DBL2, DS18DBL2, DV14DBL2, and DV18DBL2. Always read all safety warnings before use.
Charging
Before using the tool, charge the battery. Connect the charger to a power source, then insert the battery. The pilot lamp will indicate the charging status (e.g., blinking red for charging, solid red for charging complete, depending on the charger model).
Operation
Ensure the side handle is attached and firmly secured. Use the shift knob to change rotational speed. The clutch dial allows for torque adjustment. Always use clockwise rotation when using as an impact drill.
Reactive Force Control (RFC)
This tool features RFC to minimize the danger of twisting the operator's arms if the tool suddenly jerks. If the tool bit is suddenly overburdened, the motor stops. If this happens, release the switch and remove the cause of the overburdening.
LED Light Warning Signals
If a safeguard function is triggered, the LED light will blink. Refer to the table in the manual for specific blink patterns and corrective actions (e.g., overburden protection, temperature protection).

Maintenance
Regularly inspect the tool for dull bits, loose screws, and motor condition. Keep the tool clean and store in a place with a temperature below 40°C.
