The HiKOKI UB 18DD is a cordless work light designed for illuminating work sites. It can be powered by a compatible HiKOKI battery or an AC cord. It features adjustable brightness and a USB charging port for external devices.

Safety Warnings
- General: Do not look directly into the light, do not cover the light when in use, and keep at least 50 cm away from the illuminated object.
- Battery: Use only designated rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit terminals. Avoid high temperatures and moisture.
- IP65 Rating: The product is dust-resistant and water-resistant. Ensure all covers (battery, AC socket, USB port) are closed properly to maintain this rating.
Operation




- Battery Installation: Insert the battery firmly into the tool.
- AC Power: Pull back the rubber cover and insert the AC cord plug fully into the socket. The lock ring secures the connection.
- Brightness Adjustment: Use the adjustment dial to control the light intensity.
- Tripod Mounting: The light can be mounted on a tripod using the 5/8-UNC screw hole. If the tripod screw is less than 20 mm, use the included adapter.
- USB Charging: Use the USB port to charge devices. Note that the AC cord power source takes priority if both battery and AC are connected.
Maintenance and Inspection
- Cleaning: Wipe with a soft dry cloth or a cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use chloric solvents, gasoline, or paint thinner.
- Storage: Store in a place where the temperature is less than 40°C and out of reach of children.
- Terminals: Keep terminals free of swarf and dust to prevent short circuits.

Common problems
Check if the battery is charged, if the tool is overloaded, or if the battery is overheated. If overloaded or overheated, release the switch and allow the battery to cool.
Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. If the battery charge capacity is low, the work light cannot charge USB devices.

- Charge the battery fully before first use.
- Check that the battery terminals are free of swarf and dust.
- Ensure the AC cord is in good condition if using AC power.
- Verify the work light is placed on a stable surface or securely mounted on a tripod.
- Ensure all rubber covers (USB, AC socket) are closed if not in use.
