Mounting and Operation

Mounting and Dismounting the Blade
To mount the blade, insert it into the blade hole. To dismount, pivot the lever and point the blade downward; it should fall out. If it does not, pull it out by hand. Always check that the blade is securely mounted by pulling on the back of the blade.
Operating Modes
The tool features a speed change mode and an auto mode. Use the mode selector switch to toggle between low, medium, and high speeds. In auto mode, the tool automatically adjusts the number of strokes based on the load.
Plunge Cutting
Avoid plunge cutting in metallic materials. When plunge cutting in wood, hold the tool firmly and cut slowly. Do not apply unreasonable force.
Charging
Before use, charge the battery using the specified charger. Connect the charger to an AC power source or a DC 12V in-car power source. The pilot lamp indicates the charging status:
- Blinking red: Before charging or charging complete.
- Continuous red: While charging.
- Flickering red: Charging impossible (malfunction).
- Continuous green (UC18YML2): Overheat standby.
Maintenance and Inspection
- Inspecting the blade: Replace dull or damaged blades immediately to prevent motor overload.
- Inspecting mounting screws: Regularly check and tighten all mounting screws.
- Motor maintenance: Ensure the motor winding is not damaged or wet.
- Cleaning: Wipe the tool with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use chlorine solvents, gasoline, or paint thinner.
- Storage: Store in a place where the temperature is less than 40°C and out of reach of children.
LED Light Warning Signals
If a safeguard function is triggered during operation, the LED light will blink. Immediately remove your finger from the switch and follow the corrective action:
- Overburden Protection: Blinks 0.1s on/0.1s off. Remove the cause of the overload.
- Temperature Protection: Blinks 0.5s on/0.5s off. Allow the tool and battery to cool down.
