Safety Warnings

- Kickback: Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or snagged rotating wheel. Maintain a firm grip and position your body to resist kickback forces.
- Cutting Operations: Do not jam the cut-off wheel or apply excessive pressure. Do not attempt to make an excessive depth of cut.
Mounting and Operation
- Wheel Guard: Ensure the guard is securely attached and positioned for maximum safety.
- Side Handle: Fix the side handle securely before operation.
- Assembling Wheels: Follow the specific assembly instructions for depressed center wheels, cutting wheels, and diamond wheels.
- Switch Operation: Ensure the switch is in the OFF position before connecting to the power source.
Maintenance and Inspection
- Inspecting Wheels: Regularly check that the depressed center wheel is free of cracks and surface defects.
- Mounting Screws: Regularly inspect all mounting screws and ensure they are properly tightened.
- Carbon Brushes: The motor uses carbon brushes which are consumable parts. Replace them when they are worn to or near the 'wear limit'.
- Motor Maintenance: Keep the motor unit winding clean and free from oil or water.

Common problems
Tool vibrates excessively
Check all mounting screws and ensure they are properly tightened.
Motor trouble
Inspect carbon brushes; replace with new ones if worn to or near the 'wear limit'.
Wheel binds or stalls
Switch off the tool, hold it motionless until the wheel comes to a complete stop, and investigate the cause.
Before use
- Ensure the power source conforms to the product nameplate.
- Check that the power switch is in the OFF position.
- Inspect the grinding wheel for cracks or surface defects.
- Ensure the wheel guard is securely attached.
- Confirm the push button is disengaged by pressing it two or three times.
