Quick guide from the manual
This guide provides essential information for the Hilti TE 1000-AVR demolition hammer. Before using the tool, ensure you have read the full safety instructions. The tool is designed for heavy-duty chiseling and demolition work in concrete, masonry, stone, and asphalt. Always ensure the tool is in technically faultless condition before use.
Product description
The TE 1000-AVR is an electrically powered breaker equipped with an Active Vibration Reduction (AVR) system to significantly reduce vibration. It features a power level indicator and a service indicator to help maintain optimal performance.

Safety instructions
General safety: Always wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection, hearing protection, and a dust mask. Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate the tool in explosive atmospheres.
Electrical safety: Ensure the power plug matches the outlet. Do not modify the plug. Avoid contact with grounded surfaces. If working outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
Hammer safety: Always use the supplied auxiliary handle. Hold the tool by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing operations where the accessory tool may contact hidden wiring.
Operation
Setup: Ensure the side handle is fitted correctly and tightened. Connect the detachable power cord only when clean, dry, and disconnected from the power outlet. To insert an accessory tool, grease the connection end lightly and push it into the chuck until it engages with an audible click.
Chiseling: The chisel can be adjusted to 6 different positions (in 60° increments). Start chiseling at an angle of 70° to 80° to the surface, then increase the angle to 90° to break the material. Rotate the chisel regularly to promote self-sharpening.
Power setting: Press the power level selector switch to reduce chiseling power to approximately 70%. This setting is only possible when the tool is switched on.
Care and maintenance
Always unplug the tool before performing maintenance. Clean the air vents with a dry brush and wipe the casing with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use silicone-based cleaning agents. Regularly clean the dust shield on the chuck and re-grease it with Hilti grease. If the dust shield is damaged, it must be replaced.
Troubleshooting
If the tool does not start, ensure the power supply is active and the cord is connected correctly. If the service indicator lights red, the service interval is due or the tool is faulty. If it blinks red, the tool may be overheating or the voltage is too high. Allow the tool to cool down and clean the air vents.
Disposal
Hilti tools are largely made of recyclable materials. Correctly separate materials before recycling. Do not dispose of power tools, electronic equipment, or batteries as household waste.
