The Hilti NCT PS 085-A22 is a cordless electro-hydraulic cutting tool designed for cutting copper (Cu) or aluminum (Al) cables. Before using the tool, ensure you have read the safety instructions. Always use Hilti B 22 series batteries and approved chargers. Keep hands and fingers clear of the cutting head during operation. Do not use the tool to cut steel or in heavy rain/underwater.
Product description
The tool features a cutting head, control switch, and battery interface. The cutting head can be rotated 350 degrees for access in tight spaces. The battery status is indicated by LEDs on the battery pack.

Operation
Preparation: Ensure the tool is switched off before inserting the battery. Charge the battery fully before first use. Push the battery into the tool until it engages with an audible click.

Cutting procedure:
- Rotate the cutting head to the desired working position.
- Place the cable to be cut fully into the cutting head.
- Press the control switch.
- Keep the switch pressed until the tool releases pressure (indicated by an audible pop).
- The tool returns automatically to its initial position after the cut.
In cold weather, perform 5 to 10 empty pressing operations to warm up the hydraulic oil.
Care and maintenance
Always remove the battery before performing maintenance. Clean air vents with a dry, soft brush. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the housing; do not use silicone-based cleaning agents. Keep battery contacts clean and free of oil or grease. If the tool shows signs of damage or malfunction, do not use it and contact Hilti Service.
Troubleshooting
If the tool is not working, check the battery charge status and ensure it is properly inserted. If the red LED lights up continuously with a warning tone, a technical problem may exist; contact Hilti Service. If the tool overheats, allow it to cool down.
