Preparations at the workplace

Operation
Cutting procedure:
- Rotate the cutting head to the desired working position (can be rotated 350°).
- Place the cable to be cut into the cutting head. Ensure the cable is fully inserted.
- Press the control switch.
- Keep the switch pressed until the cutting head releases pressure (indicated by an audible pop).
- The tool returns automatically to its initial position.
In cold weather, perform 5 to 10 empty pressing operations to warm up the hydraulic oil.
Care and maintenance
Always remove the battery before performing maintenance. Clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth and use a dry, soft brush for air vents. Do not use silicone-based cleaning agents. Regularly check all visible parts for damage and ensure controls function correctly. Use only genuine Hilti spare parts.
Troubleshooting
If the tool is not working, check the battery charge status. If the red LED lights continuously, a technical problem may exist; contact Hilti Service. If the product overheats, allow it to cool down before resuming operation.

Common problems
No response from the LEDs on the battery
Ensure the battery is fully inserted until it engages with a double click, or charge the battery if it is discharged.
1 LED on the battery flashes
The battery is discharged or at an extreme temperature. Charge the battery or allow it to reach room temperature.
Red LED lights continuously with a warning tone
Technical problem. Incorrect operation is possible. Contact Hilti Service.
Product overheated
Allow the product to cool down.
