Quick Guide: ESC Setup and Calibration
The ESC must be calibrated before the first use or if a new radio/receiver is installed. For safety, remove the pinion gear before performing calibration.
- Turn on the transmitter and set throttle channel parameters (D/R, EPA, ATL) to 100% and TRIM to 0.
- With the ESC switched off, hold the SET button and turn on the ESC.
- Release the SET button when the RED LED flashes.
- Neutral Point: Leave the throttle trigger at neutral, press SET. The RED LED dies out, GREEN LED flashes once, and the motor beeps once.
- Full Throttle: Pull the trigger to full throttle, press SET. The GREEN LED flashes twice, and the motor beeps twice.
- Full Brake: Push the trigger to full brake, press SET. The GREEN LED flashes three times, and the motor beeps three times.
- The motor will operate normally after calibration is complete.
Safety Warnings
- Ensure all wires and connections are well insulated to avoid short circuits.
- Ensure all devices are connected correctly to prevent damage.
- Stop usage if the ESC casing exceeds 90°C (194°F).
- Always disconnect the battery after use to prevent deep discharge and damage.

Connections
Follow these wiring instructions carefully:
- Motor Connection: For sensored motors, connect A/B/C wires correspondingly and connect the 6-pin sensor cable. If the motor direction is reversed, change the 'Motor Rotation' parameter. For sensorless motors, wire sequencing is not required.
- Receiver Connection: Plug the throttle control cable into the throttle (TH) channel on the receiver. Do not supply external power to the receiver.
- Battery Connection: Connect the battery when the ESC is powered off. Ensure correct polarity (+ to +, - to -).
ESC Programming
You can program the ESC using the SET button or an optional LED/LCD Program Box. To use the SET button:
- Hold the SET button for 3 seconds to enter the programming mode.
- The LED will flash to indicate the current programmable item (e.g., 1 flash for Running Mode, 2 for Cutoff Voltage).
- Press the SET button to select the item.
- Once in the item, the RED LED flashes to indicate the current value. Press the SET button to change the value.
- Switch off the ESC to save settings.
LED Status
- Neutral Zone: If Boost/Turbo timing is active, RED LED is solid. If both are 0, RED LED flashes (Blinky mode).
- Forward: GREEN LED flashes when running, solid at full throttle.
- Brake: GREEN LED flashes when braking, solid at full brake.
- Reverse: GREEN LED flashes when running reverse.
- Protection: RED LED short single flash (Low Voltage Cutoff). GREEN LED short single flash (ESC thermal protection). GREEN LED short double flash (Motor thermal protection).
Troubleshooting
- Motor won't start/LED off: Check battery/switch connections.
- ESC won't start/Red LED flashes: Throttle signal not detected; re-calibrate ESC/radio.
- Motor stuttering: Check wire connections (A-A, B-B, C-C) and soldering points.
- Reverse not working: Re-calibrate throttle range or check neutral position stability.

Common problems
Check if battery and switch connectors are firmly connected or if the switch is damaged.
Throttle signal is not detected. Check if the transmitter is on/bound and re-calibrate the throttle range.
Check wire connections between motor and ESC, ensure soldering is good, or check if the transmitter neutral position is in the braking zone.
Re-calibrate the throttle range or fine-tune the neutral position on the transmitter.
Before use
- Remove the pinion gear before calibration for safety.
- Ensure all wires are well insulated.
- Set transmitter D/R, EPA, and ATL to 100%.
