The JBL STAGE 1200D is a passive subwoofer enclosure designed for mobile car audio applications. For the best performance, JBL recommends professional installation. Always prioritize safety by disconnecting the vehicle's battery before starting any work and wearing protective eyewear when using tools.

Installation
Before installing the enclosure, consider the following safety and placement guidelines:

- Mounting Location: Choose a location that does not interfere with cargo, fold-down rear seats, or the trunk lid. A corner of the trunk or cargo area is typically the best location.
- Clearance Check: Always check both sides of the planned mounting surface to ensure that screws or wires will not puncture brake lines, fuel lines, or wiring harnesses.
- Preparation: Use a utility knife to remove unwanted fabric or vinyl before drilling or cutting holes to prevent material from snagging.
- Environment: Do not mount the speakers in locations where they will get wet.
- Security: Ensure the enclosure is securely mounted to the mounting surface.
Speaker connections
Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on the enclosure to the amplifier's speaker outputs. Observe proper polarity to ensure correct sound reproduction. Use at least 0.5mm² (20 AWG) speaker wire for these connections.
