The Lauben Grinder 200ST is designed for grinding coffee beans, nuts (without shells), herbs, poppy seeds, and certain spices. It features a safety mechanism that prevents the device from starting unless the lid is properly attached. The maximum capacity is 50g of coffee beans. Do not exceed 1 minute of continuous operation to prevent overheating.

The grinder consists of the following main components:

• Lid
• Blade
• Micro-switch
• Grinding bowl
• Unit base
• Socket
• Removeable power cord

Before first use

Remove all packaging materials. Wash the lid under warm running water using kitchen detergent, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe the grinding bowl and the grinding blade with a clean cloth. Be careful of the sharp blade to avoid injury.

Using the coffee grinder

1. Remove the lid and pour coffee beans into the grinding bowl (max 50g). Do not fill above the lip of the bowl.
2. Place the lid back onto the grinding bowl.
3. Connect the power cord to the socket on the unit base and plug into an electrical outlet.
4. Start the grinder by turning the lid until it clicks into place. The coarseness of the grind depends on the duration of operation.
5. To stop, release the lid. Wait for the blade to stop rotating completely before removing the lid.

Operating cycles

The maximum continuous operating time is 1 minute. After 1 minute of operation, allow the grinder to rest for 2 minutes. After 5 cycles, allow the grinder to cool down for 10-15 minutes to prolong the product's lifespan.

Cleaning and maintenance

Ensure the grinder is turned off and disconnected from the power supply before cleaning. Wash the lid with warm water and detergent. Clean the grinding bowl and blade with a clean cloth. Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the unit base. Do not submerge the base in water or use abrasive cleaning agents.

Safety warnings

• Do not grind excessively hard foodstuffs like nutmeg.
• Do not operate the grinder when empty.
• Always wait for the blade to stop completely before removing the lid.
• Keep the appliance away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
• Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged.
