Installation Steps:
- Remove the original silencer and collector pipe.
- Insert the provided bushing into the stock manifold.
- Position the LeoVince link pipe between the stock manifold and the bushing.
- Install the LeoVince silencer and secure it using the provided clamps, spacers, and brackets as shown in the technical drawings.
- Connect all parts using the supplied springs or clamps.
- Install the heat shield.
- Check the alignment of all components and ensure all fasteners are tightened correctly.
- Start the engine, allow it to reach operating temperature, and check for any gas leaks.
If necessary, use a rubber mallet to gently tap connection pipes into place for a proper fit.
Maintenance and Care
Regularly inspect all exhaust connections and fasteners, as they may be affected by heat and vibration. Periodically replace consumable parts such as sound-deadening material, seals, and rubber components. To clean the silencer, use gasoline, diesel oil, or alcohol; never use solvents. Note that some discoloration of the silencer is normal due to heat and the nature of the materials used. Any modification or tampering with the exhaust system is strictly prohibited and will void the warranty.
Important Notes
During the first few kilometers of use, the exhaust system will undergo a break-in period, which may result in minor gas leakage. After approximately 100 km, it is essential to re-check and tighten all fasteners. It is also normal for some white smoke to appear during the first use, even after the engine has been turned off.
