Practical help
Common problems
Wire tangling or crushing
Adjust the drive tension using the easy-turn numeric drive tension indicator to match the wire diameter.
Need to weld aluminum
Requires the optional K2532-1 Magnum 100SG Spool Gun.
Using CO2 shielding gas
Order the Lincoln Electric S19298 CO2 shielding gas bottle adapter.
Before use
- Verify 120V input power availability.
- Ensure the correct contact tip (.025 in. or .035 in.) is installed for the wire being used.
- Check that the polarity is set correctly for the chosen process (MIG or Flux-Cored).
- Ensure the drive roll is set for the correct wire diameter.
- If using gas, ensure the regulator is properly connected and the hose is secure.
