The MAUL 1664509.100F is a digital letter scale designed for precise weighing. Before first use, ensure the plastic protection is removed from the battery compartment located on the underside of the scale. The scale must be placed on a horizontal surface for accurate readings.
Battery installation
The scale operates on a standard CR2032 battery. Open the battery compartment on the base, insert the battery observing the correct polarity (+/-), and remove the insulation foil before use.
Weighing and Tare
Weighing (ON): Press the ON/OFF/TARE button. Wait for the display to show '0' before placing the item on the scale.
Net weighing (TARE): Place an empty container on the scale and press the ON/OFF/TARE button to reset the display to zero. Fill the container; the display will show only the weight of the added contents.
Switching off (OFF): Press and hold the ON/OFF/TARE button until the display disappears. The scale features an automatic switch-off function that activates after approximately 1 minute of inactivity.
Unit conversion
The scale can display weight in g, lb/oz, oz, or ml. With the scale switched on, press the 'Unit' button to cycle through the available units and select the desired one.
User calibration
If necessary, the scale can be recalibrated by the user:
- Switch the scale on and set it to 'g'.
- Press the ON/OFF/TARE button rapidly four times and hold.
- A number will appear. Press the ON/OFF/TARE button again.
- 'ZERO' will appear, followed by '5000'.
- Place a 5kg calibrated weight on the scale and press the ON/OFF/TARE button.
- The display will show 'CAL', then 'PASS', and finally '5000g'.
Important: Do not expose the scale to vibrations or drafts during the calibration process.
Troubleshooting and symbols
- EEEE: Overload. The weight exceeds the maximum capacity of the scale. Remove the weight.
- Battery icon: The batteries are exhausted and need to be replaced.
- Negative value: Press the ON/OFF/TARE button again to reset.
