Important Installation Information

Before beginning the installation, ensure that the power is completely shut off at the fuse box or circuit breaker. This fixture is designed for standard junction boxes. Ensure all parts are accounted for before starting assembly. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating of 100W per bulb.

Assembly and Installation

  1. Preparation: Shut off power and remove the old fixture. Unpack all parts in a clean area.
  2. Rod Assembly: Determine the desired hanging height. Thread the rods (F1, F2, and F3) onto the all-thread (G). Attach the canopy (C) by screwing it onto rod (F1). Carefully pass the wires through each rod during this process.
  3. Mounting: Attach the mounting plate (A) to the junction box using the provided mounting screws (B). Ensure the side of the mounting plate marked with "GND" and the two convex points are facing outward.
  4. Wiring: Connect the fixture wires to the house wires as detailed in the wiring section. Tuck all wire connectors neatly into the junction box.
  5. Finalizing: Place the canopy (C) over the mounting plate (A) and secure it with screws (D).
  6. Bulb and Shade: Install one medium base bulb (up to 100W, or CFL/LED equivalent). Place the glass shade (I) over the socket (E) and turn to secure it to the fixture.

Wiring Connections

Proper wiring is essential for safety. Follow these connections:

  • Black or Smooth fixture wire: Connect to the Black (Hot) house wire.
  • White or Ribbed fixture wire: Connect to the White (Neutral) house wire.
  • Bare Copper fixture wire: Connect to the Green (Ground) house wire. If the junction box does not have a ground wire, connect the fixture's ground wire directly to the mounting plate (A) using the provided green screw.

Bulb Requirements

This fixture uses one medium base bulb. The maximum wattage is 100W. You may use CFL or LED equivalents, provided they do not exceed the fixture's maximum wattage rating.
