This document provides installation instructions for the NGP 131N Door Bottom Shoe. The primary requirement for installation is a 7/64" drill bit for pilot holes. Ensure the gasket is compressed 1/16" against the sill to maintain a proper seal without preventing the door from latching.
Installation Instructions
- Measure and cut the door shoe to fit the width of your door.
- If the item includes a drip cap, notch it to clear the stops on the jambs before proceeding with installation.
- Position the seal on the door, ensuring the gasket is compressed 1/16" against the sill.
- Mark the screw hole locations.
- Drill pilot holes using a 7/64" bit.
- Install the door shoe using the provided screws.
- Adjust the position as necessary to ensure the gasket does not impede the proper closing and latching of the door.
Safety and Compliance
This product is a positive pressure tested gasketing material for fire doors. It is suitable for application to hollow-metal-type fire doors rated up to 3 hours and wood-type fire doors rated up to 1-1/2 hours (Category H). It meets the requirements of NFPA 105 and IBC for use on "S" label doors.

Common problems
