The RAB HIDFA-115S-V-EX39-8CCT-BYP-3SP is a high-bay LED retrofit lamp. Crucial: This lamp requires the existing ballast, capacitor, and ignitor to be bypassed or removed before installation. It features selectable power (60W, 80W, 115W) and selectable color temperature (3000K, 4000K, 5000K) via switches on the lamp body.
Safety Warnings
- High Voltage: Ensure the main power is turned off before installation.
- Ballast Bypass: Do not operate on existing ballasts. The ballast, capacitor, and ignitor must be removed or bypassed.
- Dimming: Do not use with standard dimmers. Use only specified controls.
- Environment: For use in enclosed fixtures. Not intended for emergency exits.
- Safety Cable: Must be used for base-up burning positions to prevent the lamp from falling due to old sockets.
Installation Instructions
- Power Off: Turn off the main power supply before starting.
- Bypass Ballast: Remove or bypass the existing ballast, capacitor, and ignitor.
- Wiring: Connect the alternating current wires directly to the socket. Reattach or replace the ground lead if necessary.
- Settings: Select the desired wattage and color temperature using the switches on the lamp before installing.
- Mounting: Screw the LED lamp into the corresponding socket.
- Safety Cable: Securely fasten the safety cable to the main body structure.
Power and CCT Selection
The lamp allows for customization of output:
- Power Selectable: Choose between 60W, 80W, or 115W using the Power Selectable Switch.
- Color Selectable: Choose between 3000K, 4000K, or 5000K using the Color Selectable Switch.
Maintenance
If the safety cable is damaged, it must be replaced. Use a cable that is 1.0mm in size and heat-insulated. Ensure the lamp is installed in the base-up position for optimal performance and safety.

Common problems
Lamp does not turn on
Verify that the ballast, capacitor, and ignitor have been completely bypassed or removed from the circuit.
Lamp falls from socket
Ensure the safety cable is securely attached to the main body structure, especially in base-up burning positions.
Flickering or dimming issues
Ensure no standard incandescent dimmer is connected to the circuit.

- Verify the fixture is an enclosed type.
