Product Overview
The Sealey AB936 is a comprehensive mini air brush kit designed for detailed work. It features a double-action trigger for precision control of paint flow and includes both suction and gravity feed pots. The kit is supplied in a storage case.
Safety Information
Warning: Air brushes produce a fine mist of paint and solvents that can be harmful if inhaled. Always wear appropriate respiratory protection, eye protection, and gloves. Ensure the work area is well-ventilated. Do not operate the air brush near open flames, smoking areas, or other people not wearing protective equipment. Never direct the spray at yourself, others, animals, or electrical equipment.
Assembly
To assemble the air brush, fit the jar cover with the nozzle into the body and twist firmly. Connect the air hose to the connection point underneath the trigger. When using a compressor, ensure the air supply does not exceed 50psi; the normal operating pressure is approximately 30psi. If using a propellant can, a specific regulator valve/cap (Sealey Part No: AB930/11) is required.
Operation
Prepare the surface by ensuring it is clean and free of dust or grease. Mix and thin the paint according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring it is free of lumps. Fill the paint jar just over half full. Test the spray on a panel to adjust the pattern using the fixing nut and the micro-adjust screw. Hold the air brush about 6 inches from the surface, start the motion before pressing the trigger, and maintain a steady, parallel movement.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Thorough cleaning is essential immediately after each use to prevent clogging. Remove the paint container and spray a compatible solvent through the air brush until clear. If the brush becomes clogged, dismantle it carefully. The fluid needle is sharp; handle with extreme care to avoid bending. When reassembling, do not overtighten the nozzle or fixing nut, as this can restrict the spray pattern. Ensure the needle moves smoothly through the trigger assembly.

Practical help
Common problems
Press trigger more lightly or move the air brush faster.
Thin the paint or clean the tip, needle, and regulator of dried paint deposits.
Release the needle more gently or thin the paint.
Adjust the air valve or clean the paint tube in the pot.
Before use
- Ensure the surface to be painted is clean and prepared.
- Mix and thin paint thoroughly; strain if necessary to remove lumps.
- Check that the air hose is not tangled, twisted, or pinched.
- Verify that the air supply pressure is set to approximately 30psi (max 50psi).
- Wear appropriate PPE: mask, eye protection, and gloves.
Specs in practice
- Working Pressure
- 15-50psi; the recommended operating range for optimal performance.
- Nozzle Sizes
- 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5mm; allows for varying levels of detail and paint flow.
- Cup Capacity
- 7, 9, 22cc; different sizes for various project volumes.
Images and diagrams

Model compatibility
- Requires a regulator valve/cap (Part No: AB930/11) if using propellant cans.
- Compatible with compressors (e.g., Sealey AB900) using the supplied adaptor.
- Maximum air supply must never exceed 50psi.
