The Sealey PW1750 and PW2000 are high-pressure washers designed for domestic use. Before using the machine, ensure the water supply is connected, the inlet filter is clean, and the gun is bled of air. Always use the machine on a flat, level surface in an upright position. Never leave the motor running for more than 15 minutes without operating the trigger.
Safety instructions
- Electrical Safety: Always plug into an RCD-protected supply. Inspect cables and plugs for damage before use. If the plug is damaged, have it replaced by a qualified electrician.
- General Safety: Never direct the water jet at people, animals, or electrical equipment. Wear protective clothing and eye protection. Do not use the washer if any part (hose, gun, nozzle) is damaged.
- Water Supply: Use a reinforced hose with a 1/2" internal diameter. Water temperature must not exceed 50°C (122°F), and supply pressure must not exceed 6 bar.
Setup and installation

- Water Connection: Connect a reinforced hose to the mains water supply. Flush the hose with clean water before attaching it to the machine's rear inlet.
- High-Pressure Hose: Attach the high-pressure hose to the machine and the gun. Ensure the connector is tight and the red catch on the gun is locked.
- Lance and Nozzle: Push the nozzle into the gun and turn 90° until it locks into place.
Operation
Before turning on the power, squeeze the trigger to bleed the gun for approximately one minute to remove trapped air. This prevents damage to the pump. To operate, turn the switch to 'On', release the safety catch on the gun, and depress the trigger. The Total Stop System (TSS) will automatically switch the motor off when the trigger is released.

Using detergent
Use only approved detergents. Push the variable nozzle forward to activate low-pressure mode for detergent application. Apply to a dry surface from the bottom up, let it sit for 1-2 minutes, then rinse using the wide fan setting.
Maintenance
- Nozzles: Keep clean and free of debris. Lubricate the variable nozzle regularly.
- Water Filter: Clean the conical inlet filter after every 50 hours of use.
- Storage: Drain all water from the machine and hoses before storing in a frost-free location.

Common problems
Check for a loose or disconnected plug and ensure the fuse has not blown.
Ensure the circuit is rated for 13A or greater. Check that the extension cord is not too long or thin.
Ensure water supply is on, clean the inlet screen, straighten any kinks in the hose, or bleed air from the pump.
Ensure the gun safety lock is disengaged.
Before use
- Inspect power cables and plugs for wear or damage.
- Ensure the water inlet filter is clean.
- Flush the supply hose with clean water before connection.
- Ensure the nozzle is securely locked into the lance.
- Bleed the gun by squeezing the trigger before turning on the power.
- Check that the machine is on a flat, level surface.
Specs in practice
- TSS (Total Stop System)
- Automatically switches the motor off when the trigger is released to prolong motor life.
- ECP (Effective Cleaning Pressure)
- The effective cleaning power compared to larger pressure washers.
