This guide provides essential information for operating your Segway ZT3 Pro electric kickscooter. Always wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads when riding. Ensure the scooter is activated via the Segway-Ninebot app before use. If the scooter is not powered on for 7 consecutive days, the battery enters sleep mode; charge it for three seconds to wake it up.
Device description
The scooter features a main frame, handlebar with integrated controls, front and rear disc brakes, and front/rear suspension. Key components include the folding mechanism, kickstand, battery compartment, and charging port.
Assembly
1. Unfold the stem and close the quick-release lever until the folding latch reaches the bottom. Ensure it is locked firmly without lifting the latch.2. Slide the handlebar and wires into the stem with the headlight facing forward.3. Install the four screws in order using the provided Allen wrench.4. Lift the vehicle out of the box, place it on the ground, and unfold the kickstand.

Handlebar functions
The handlebar includes the following controls:
- Mode switching: Press to change speed mode.
- Direction Indicator: Press to signal left/right. Hold to toggle emergency flashers.
- Custom Button: Default is Automatic Hill Hold. Customize via the Segway-Ninebot app.
- Bell: Press to sound the bell.
- Power/Headlight: Press to power on/off. After powering on, press to toggle the headlight.
- Throttle: Twist or press to accelerate.

1. Open the charging port rubber plug.2. Insert the charge plug.3. The scooter is fully charged when the LED on the charger changes from red (charging) to green (trickle charge).4. Fasten the rubber plug when finished.
Security features
The scooter supports several security features configurable via the Segway-Ninebot app:
- Apple Find My: Allows tracking of the vehicle.
- CodeLock: Digital or pattern-based password protection.
- AirLock: Bluetooth-based unlocking.

Riding
To start, fold the kickstand, stand on the footboard with one foot, and push off with the other. Press the throttle to accelerate once balanced. Note that the motor will not engage until the scooter reaches 3 km/h (1.9 mph). Slow down by releasing the throttle and squeezing the brake lever.
Safety warnings
- Do not ride on public roads, motorways, or highways unless local laws permit.
- Do not use a mobile phone or wear earphones while riding.
- Do not carry passengers or heavy objects on the handlebar.
- Do not ride up/down stairs or jump over obstacles.

Common problems
The scooter is not activated. Follow the steps in the Segway-Ninebot app to activate it.
The battery may be in sleep mode. Charge the scooter for three seconds to activate the battery.
Stop riding immediately. Serious danger may occur if the latch is not locked.
The vehicle detected movement while powered off. The buzzer will sound and the driving wheel will be locked.

- Check tire pressure (42-48 psi).
- Ensure the folding latch is in the locked position.
