Quick Guide
The Shelly Pro 2 is a DIN-mountable, 2-circuit smart relay designed for remote control of electrical appliances via Wi-Fi, LAN, or Bluetooth. It is suitable for homes, offices, and retail stores. Before installation, ensure the power is disconnected at the breaker and verify the absence of voltage using a multimeter.
Installation
Warning: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure the device is not installed in a location where it may get wet.
- Wiring: Connect the Neutral (N) cable to the N terminal and the Live (L) cable to the device power supply circuit breaker. Connect load circuit 1 to O1 and the Neutral cable, and load circuit 2 to O2 and the Neutral cable. Connect the switch inputs to S1 and S2.
- Inductive Loads: For appliances like motors, fans, or vacuum cleaners that cause voltage spikes, install an RC snubber (0.1µF / 100 Ω / 1/2 W / 600 VAC) in parallel to the appliance.
- Clearance: Allow at least 10 mm of space around each Pro device if you expect currents higher than 5 A per channel.
LED Indicators
- Power (Red): On if power supply is connected.
- Wi-Fi: Blue (AP mode), Red (STA mode, not connected), Yellow (STA mode, connected to Wi-Fi but not Shelly Cloud), Green (STA mode, connected to Wi-Fi and Shelly Cloud). Flashing Red/Blue indicates an OTA update.
- LAN (Green): On if LAN is connected.
- Out (Red): On if the output relay is closed.
Reset Procedure
- AP Mode: Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
- Factory Reset: Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.

Practical help
Common problems
Ensure the device is in STA mode (yellow or green light). If the light is red, it is not connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Install an RC snubber (0.1µF / 100 Ω / 1/2 W / 600 VAC) in parallel to the appliance.
Before use
- Ensure power is turned off at the breaker.
- Verify no voltage at terminals using a multimeter.
- Use solid single-core cables with increased insulation heat resistance (PVC T105°C).
- Ensure space of at least 10 mm around the device if current > 5A per channel.
Specs in practice
- Max switching current
- 16 A per channel, 25 A total for both channels.
- Power supply
- 110-240 VAC, 50/60Hz.
Model compatibility
- Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
- Requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
