Quick guide from the manual
The SpeaKa Professional 2-in-1 8K HDMI Splitter allows you to connect two HDMI source devices to a single display. It supports high-resolution video up to 8K at 60Hz. The device can switch between inputs manually using buttons on the unit or the included remote control, or automatically when only one active source is detected.
Installation and Connection
Before connecting, ensure all devices are powered off. Follow these steps to set up the splitter:
- Connect your source devices (e.g., game consoles, media players) to the HDMI inputs labeled INPUT1 and INPUT2.
- Connect your display device to the HDMI output labeled OUTPUT.
- Connect the provided USB-C power cable to the USB/POWER input.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a suitable power supply. The LED status indicator will light up to confirm the device is receiving power.
Operation
Once connected, switch on all devices. You can switch between inputs using the buttons on the device or the remote control. The indicator light (1 or 2) on the device will illuminate to show which input is currently active.
Switching Modes
- Manual Switching: If both HDMI inputs are connected and active, you must manually select the desired input.
- Automatic Switching: If both inputs are connected but only one is active, the device will automatically switch to the active input.
Remote Control
The remote control comes with a CR2032 battery pre-installed. Before first use, remove the battery release tab from the battery compartment. If the remote stops working, replace the battery and ensure the infrared sensor on the splitter is not obstructed.
Cleaning and Maintenance
To clean the device, first disconnect it from all power sources and peripherals. Use a dry, fibre-free cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol, or chemical solutions, and never immerse the product in water.
