This guide provides essential information for setting up and operating the Speco Technologies 08B9 network camera. Ensure the wall or ceiling can support three times the weight of the camera before installation. The camera is set to DHCP by default. Default login credentials are username admin and password 1234.

Device Overview

Installation
Follow these steps to mount the camera securely:

- Open the mounting base and the upper cover of the junction box.
- Attach the drill template to the desired location and drill the necessary holes for screws and cables.
- Install the junction box onto the wall using the provided screws and rubber o-rings.
- Mount the rubber plug to the gap of the mounting base and fasten the camera onto the mounting base.
- Connect the cables and install the camera onto the junction box.
- Loosen the fixed ring to adjust the camera angle, then tighten it once the optimum view is achieved.
Wiring and Waterproofing
For outdoor installations, it is highly recommended to use the waterproof connector:

- Loosen the nut from the main element.
- Run the network cable (without RJ45 connector) through both elements, then crimp the cable with an RJ45 connector.
- Connect the cable to the waterproof connector, then tighten the nut and the main cover.
Web Operation and Login
To access the camera via a web browser:
- Ensure the camera and PC are on the same local network.
- Install the IP Scanner software from the included CD or download it from https://www.specotech.com/ip-scanner/.
- Run the IP Scanner to find the device on the network.
- Double-click the device in the list to open the web viewer, or enter the IP address directly into your browser.
- Log in using the default credentials: admin / 1234.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always shut down the device and unplug the power cable before maintenance. Do not touch the CMOS sensor. Use a blower to remove dust from the lens. For grease or fingerprints, use an oil-free cotton cloth or paper soaked with alcohol or detergent, wiping from the center outward.
