This document provides essential instructions for operating your Timex Marathon Digital watch. It covers basic functions including time and date setting, using the stopwatch, configuring the daily alarm, and utilizing the Indiglo night-light. Device Overview
The watch features three main buttons for operation:

- MODE: Used to cycle through different modes (Time, Stopwatch, Alarm).
- ST/STP/ALM: Used to increase values or start/stop/pause functions.
- RESET/NEXT: Used to move to the next step in settings or record split times.
- INDIGLO Button: Located on the side, used to illuminate the display.
Time and Date Setting
- Press MODE until the seconds are flashing.
- Press ST/STP/ALM to reset seconds to zero.
- Press RESET/NEXT to select hours, minutes, month, day, and day of the week sequentially.
- Use ST/STP/ALM to adjust the selected value. Press and hold for rapid incrementing.
- Press MODE to exit the setting mode.
Stopwatch
- Press MODE until 'ST' appears.
- Press ST/STP/ALM to start timing.
- Press RESET/NEXT while running to record a split time.
- Press ST/STP/ALM to pause.
- Press RESET/NEXT to reset to zero.
Alarm
- Press MODE until 'AL' appears.
- Press ST/STP/ALM to toggle the alarm or hourly chime on/off.
- Press RESET/NEXT to enter alarm setting mode.
- Use ST/STP/ALM to adjust hours and minutes.
- Press RESET/NEXT to exit.
- When the alarm sounds, press any button to stop it, or MODE to snooze for 5 minutes.
Water and Shock Resistance
If your watch is water-resistant, the depth rating is indicated on the case back or face. Warning: Do not press any buttons while underwater to maintain water resistance. Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
Battery
Timex recommends having the battery replaced by a professional jeweler or retailer. Do not dispose of batteries in fire, do not recharge, and keep away from children.

Common problems
Ensure the alarm (ALM) or hourly chime (CHI/SIG) is toggled ON in the Alarm mode.
Ensure the stopwatch is paused (press ST/STP/ALM) before pressing RESET/NEXT to reset to zero.
Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged.
Before use
- Check the case back for water resistance rating.
- Verify the current time format (12-hour or 24-hour).
