Quick guide from the manual
This document provides operating instructions for various Timex analog watch models, including quartz, solar, and hand-wind movements. It covers essential setup procedures, water resistance guidelines, and maintenance tips.
Starting your watch
Quartz Movement: Remove the plastic guard from under the crown and press the crown in against the case.
Solar Movement: Expose the watch to light to charge the battery. Remove the plastic guard and press the crown in to start.
Hand-wind Movement: Remove the plastic guard, set the time/date, and turn the crown clockwise until you feel resistance.
Water and shock resistance
If your watch is water-resistant, the depth is indicated on the watch face or caseback. Warning: Do not press buttons or pull out the crown while underwater unless the watch is rated for 200 meters.
Setting time and date
For most models, pull the crown to the outermost position to set the time. For date models, pull the crown to the middle position to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 10 PM and 2 AM to prevent damage to the movement.
Indiglo Night-Light
Press the crown or dedicated button to activate the Indiglo night-light, which illuminates the entire watch face.
Bracelet adjustment
The manual includes instructions for adjusting sliding clasp and foldover clasp bracelets, as well as removing links. Always use a pointed tool to push pins in the direction indicated by arrows on the bracelet links.
Battery
The watch battery is not intended to be replaced by the consumer. Please consult a professional jeweler for battery replacement.
