This document provides instructions for the Timex 04K-096000 watch, which features both analog hands and a digital LCD display. It covers basic operations, time setting, dual time, alarm, timer, stopwatch, and maintenance.
Time and Date Setting
- Press MODE repeatedly until the time is shown with seconds flashing.
- Press LAP/RESET to set seconds to zero.
- Press START/STOP to select minutes, then LAP/RESET to advance. Hold to increment quickly.
- Repeat for hours (AM/PM), date, month, and day.
- Press MODE to exit.
- To switch between AM/PM and 24-hour format, press and hold START/STOP for 4 seconds.
Dual Time
- Press MODE until the indicator is next to DUAL T.
- Press START/STOP. The hour hand will flash.
- Press LAP/RESET to advance the hour hand.
- Press START/STOP, then LAP/RESET to advance the minute hand.
- Press START/STOP to exit.
Alarm and Chime
- Press MODE until the indicator is next to ALARM.
- Press START/STOP and LAP/RESET simultaneously to enable/disable the alarm or hourly chime.
- To set the alarm time, press MODE to ALARM, then START/STOP. Use LAP/RESET to adjust the hour and minute hands.
Timer
- Press MODE until the indicator is next to TIMER.
- Press LAP/RESET repeatedly to set the countdown minutes (up to 60).
- Press START/STOP to begin the countdown.
- Press START/STOP to pause, or LAP/RESET to reset.
Stopwatch
- Press MODE until the indicator is next to STOP.
- Press START/STOP to start/stop the stopwatch.
- Press LAP/RESET while running to record a split time.
- Press LAP/RESET to reset the stopwatch to zero.
Bracelet Adjustment
For the sliding clasp bracelet:
- Open the locking plate.
- Move the clasp to the desired length.
- Exert pressure while holding the locking plate and slide the clasp back and forth until it engages in the grooves on the underside of the bracelet.
- Press the locking plate down until it snaps closed.
Water and Shock Resistance
The watch is water-resistant to 30 meters. Warning: Do not press any buttons under water. Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
Battery
The battery is not intended to be replaced by the consumer. Only a jeweler or professional should replace it.

Common problems
Ensure the alarm or chime is enabled in the ALARM mode by pressing START/STOP and LAP/RESET simultaneously.
If no setting is shown, press LAP/RESET to restore the previously set countdown.
Ensure the locking plate is fully snapped closed and the clasp is properly engaged in the bracelet grooves.
