Quick guide from the manual

This document provides operating instructions for various Timex Higher-Function Analog watch models. It covers initial setup, water resistance guidelines, Indiglo night-light usage, and specific instructions for different chronograph types.

Getting Started

To start your watch, remove the plastic guard from under the crown and press the crown in against the case. The second hand will begin advancing in one-second intervals. For deep-depth water-resistant models, ensure the crown is screwed in to maintain water resistance.

Water and Shock Resistance

If your watch is water-resistant, the depth rating (WR_M) is indicated on the watch. Do not press buttons or pull out the crown while underwater unless the watch is rated for 200 meters.

Indiglo Night-Light

Press the button or crown to activate the Indiglo night-light. The Night-Mode feature can be activated by pressing and holding the Indiglo button for 4 seconds, keeping the light active for 8 hours.

Chronograph Operation

The manual covers several chronograph types. Generally, use the pushers to start, stop, and reset the chronograph. If the hands do not return to the zero position after a reset or battery change, use the recalibration procedure: pull the crown to the appropriate position and use the pushers to adjust the hands to the zero position.

Bracelet Adjustments

The manual provides instructions for adjusting sliding clasp bracelets, foldover clasp bracelets, and removing bracelet links. Always use a pointed tool for link removal and ensure pins are reinserted securely.
