This document provides instructions for operating the Timex 11Z analog-digital watch. The watch features independent analog and digital timekeeping, a date display, a 1/100 second chronograph (up to 60 minutes), an alarm, and an hourly chime.
Device description
The watch features four main controls:
- MODE (A): Cycles through the different display modes (Time, Date, Alarm, Chronograph).
- START (B): Used to start/stop functions, reset values, and toggle settings.
- SET (C): Used to enter setting modes (hold for 2 seconds) and advance through setting fields.
- CROWN: Used to manually set the analog time by pulling it out and rotating.
Analog time setting
The analog portion operates independently of the digital display. To set the time, pull out the crown and rotate it until the hands show the desired time.
Digital time and date setting
To set the digital time or date, navigate to the respective mode using the MODE (A) button. Once in the desired mode, press and hold the SET (C) button for 2 seconds to enter the setting mode. Use the START (B) button to change values and the SET (C) button to advance to the next field. Press SET (C) to exit the setting mode.
Alarm and hourly chime
In the alarm display mode, press the START (B) button to toggle the alarm on or off. To set the alarm time, hold the SET (C) button for 2 seconds. Use the START (B) button to adjust the hour and minutes, and the SET (C) button to navigate between fields. To toggle the hourly chime, hold both the START (B) and SET (C) buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds while in the alarm display mode.
Chronograph operation
Navigate to the chronograph mode using the MODE (A) button. The maximum duration is 59 minutes and 59.99 seconds. Use the START (B) button to start and stop the timer, and the SET (C) button to reset it to zero. The watch also supports a lap function, where pressing the SET (C) button during operation displays the lap time for 5 seconds before returning to the total elapsed time.

Common problems
The chronograph has a maximum capacity of 59 minutes and 59.99 seconds. Once reached, it stops automatically. Press the SET (C) button to reset it to zero.
Ensure the alarm symbol is visible on the display. If it is not, navigate to the alarm mode and press the START (B) button to enable it.
Before use
- Ensure the crown is pushed in for normal operation.
- Check that the battery (SR626) is installed correctly if the display is blank.
- Set the analog time manually using the crown.
