This document provides installation and maintenance instructions for the TOTO 0GU219 floor-mounted toilet bowl. Professional installation is recommended. Key requirements include a 10-inch or 12-inch rough-in distance and the use of a new wax ring (D-2) if the toilet is moved or reinstalled. Do not overtighten the nuts (D-6) to avoid damaging the porcelain.

Product Overview

The package includes the toilet bowl (A-1) and necessary installation hardware. Parts ordered separately may include the wax ring (D-2), floor flange (D-1), washers (D-3), and hexagonal wood screws (D-4). Ensure all parts are present before beginning installation.

Installation Procedure

1. Preparation: Verify the rough-in distance (10"-12") from the finished wall.
2. Placement: Position the toilet bowl (A-1) over the floor flange.
3. Wax Ring: Install the wax ring (D-2) carefully. Always use a new wax ring if the toilet is removed or moved.
4. Securing: Secure the toilet bowl using the provided hardware. Do not overtighten the nuts (D-6) as this could damage the porcelain.
5. Flush Valve: Follow the specific installation guide included with your flush valve to connect it to the toilet bowl.
6. Adjustment: After installation, adjust the flush volume and the opening angle of the shutoff valve to prevent water from spraying out of the bowl.
7. Testing: Conduct a test run to ensure there are no water leaks.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Products with the letter 'G' in the model number feature the CEFIONTECT glaze. To maintain this surface:

• Use a mild dish detergent with a clean, soft cloth for the lavatory.
• Use a gel-based cleaner with a soft-bristled plastic brush for the toilet.
• Do not use: Abrasive cleaners, polishing powders, bleach, chemical thinners, acid/alkaline detergents, or metal scrub brushes/steel wool.

Safety and Warranty

The product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage from natural calamities, misuse, improper installation, or the use of high-concentration chlorine products. If the toilet rocks, use shims to stabilize it. If metallic objects (like a watch band) leave marks on the porcelain, gently rub the surface with an abrasive detergent.
