This manual provides essential instructions for installing the TOTO Pedestal Lavatory 0GU037. Before beginning, ensure you have the necessary plumbing hardware and that your wall is properly reinforced. The installation requires careful marking, drilling, and securing of the pedestal and lavatory to the wall. Always avoid overtightening hardware to prevent damage.
Before installation
Proper preparation is critical for a successful installation:

- Reinforcement: Install a brace between the wall studs to support the lavatory.
- Height: Ensure the brace is installed at the correct height (H) corresponding to the lavatory mounting holes.
- Leveling: The floor must be level and the wall must be square with the floor.
- Compliance: Follow all local plumbing and building codes.
Installation procedure

- Positioning and Marking: Place the lavatory and pedestal in the desired location. Ensure the unit is level against the wall. Trace a line along the sides and top edge of the lavatory and the base of the pedestal to mark the position.
- Drilling and Hardware: Remove the unit. Drill pilot holes for the screws. Install the pedestal mounting hardware by placing a metal washer on the bolt, inserting it through the bracket and brace, and securing it with another washer and nut. Secure the pedestal bracket to the floor using the three supplied screws. Do not overtighten.
- Faucet and Drain: Install the faucet and drains according to the manufacturer's instructions. For 8-inch widespread faucets, install only the spout assembly at this stage; valves can be installed later.
- Securing the Lavatory: Screw the bolts into the wall, leaving 1-1/4 inches protruding. Place the lavatory onto the pedestal, aligning the mounting holes with the protruding bolts. Secure the lavatory to the wall using the provided slotted flat metal washers and tighten the bolts.
- Final Connections: Connect the water supply and trap to the drain. Turn on the water, purge air from the lines, and check for leaks.
CEFIONTECT cleaning instructions
Products with the letter "G" in the model number feature the CEFIONTECT glaze, a super-smooth surface that prevents debris from sticking.
- Cleaning: Use a mild dish detergent with a clean, soft cloth for the lavatory.
- Avoid: Do not use cleaners, polishing powders, or detergents with gritty or coarse particles. Avoid bleach, chemical thinners, or products containing acid or alkaline detergents. Never use metal scrub brushes or steel wool.
