About the Venu 208i
The Venu 208i features a 600 W amplifier module (300 W + 2 x 150 W) and built-in DSP for advanced signal processing. It is designed to power up to four mid-high enclosures, such as the Cyclone 4, Cyclone 55, and Indigo 6. The enclosure is constructed from multi-laminate birch plywood.
Unpacking and Checking
- Inspect the shipment for transit damage immediately upon receipt.
- The unit is double-boxed; use caution when removing staples to avoid injury or damage to the finish.
- Keep all original packaging in case the unit needs to be returned for service.
Cable and Wiring
Electrical Safety: Do not access the inside of the equipment. Refer all servicing to Void-approved agents.



Cable Considerations: For permanent installations, use Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cables with Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) of grade C11000 or above, compliant with IEC standards for fire retardancy and smoke density.
Input/Output: The unit features 2 x combo XLR inputs and a Phoenix connector output. Ensure correct polarity when connecting to avoid phase cancellation.
Fuse and Voltage
The Venu 208i supports 230 V and 115 V options. To change the voltage:
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the fuse holder cover.
- Remove the fuse holder.
- Rotate the holder so the desired voltage rating faces left.
- Reinsert the holder and ensure it is fully engaged.
- Push the cover back in until sealed.
DSP and Software
The Venu 208i includes built-in DSP accessible via the rear Ethernet port using Armonía Plus software.
- Presets: Factory presets are available for Cyclone 4, Cyclone 55, Indigo 6s, and Venu 6 V2.
- Selecting Presets: Apply power, wait 15 seconds for initialization, press the preset button, and wait for the LED to stop flashing.
- Network Setup: If the device is not discovered, ensure your PC network card is on the same subnet as the Venu 208i.
Mounting
The Venu 208i supports Yoke, Wall, and Ceiling mounting. Always use Void-approved mounting equipment. Secondary safety fixings are required for all overhead installations.
